About Health & Welfare

Going out into the local villages with nurses from the Ghana Health Service and our own Point Hope staff and volunteers is an essential way to find out from the ground up what is happening in rural Ghana--observing health trends and learning of the actual needs of the families is what make this program so very important. It is how we found Oliver and his mother, Agnes (Read Agnes and Oliver's Story) and we are so very glad we did!

Point Hope strengthens the work of 10 hospitals and clinics in deprived areas which dispense impactful healthcare for those in need by providing quality medical equipment and consumable supplies. We also furnish life-saving assistance in the form of housing, medical care, food and water delivery to those in severe need (chronically and mentally ill persons, as well as orphans and the elderly).
