Where did the name Point Hope come from?
Many years ago, while broadcasting live in Philadelphia on a hot summer night; Delilah took her audience on an imaginary adventure to the coolest part of the country, Point Hope, Alaska, where the temperatures were 50 degrees cooler. The idea of this place offered relief from a hot and sweltering night. The name of the town stuck with Delilah.

Can I give to Point Hope instead of receiving Christmas, birthday, anniversary or wedding gifts?
Yes you can! Many people feel that they already have enough clothes, dishes, and electronics and choose to ask their friends/family/guests to make a donation to Point Hope instead of buying them a present. Contact our office so we can set up information for your guest/family/friends to make a donation in honor of you. You will receive a letter in a few months giving you the names of those who gave to Point Hope.

How do I cancel my existing electronic donation to Point Hope?
Email or Contact our office at (206)766-9700 to let us know. Note that we are unable to cancel a direct debit during the two working days before a debit is due to be made. If you need to cancel your Direct Debit during this two day period, you will need to contact your bank directly.
How is Delilah involved with Point Hope?
Delilah, the most-listened-to-woman on radio in North America, founded Point Hope. She founded Point Hope so that she could help accomplish things for children who had no one to advocate for them, children who had no voice.

How does Point Hope spend my donations? How much goes to overhead?
100% of public donations go toward the programs of Point Hope, which includes providing food, medical aid, education, and skills training to vulnerable West African refugees in Ghana and at-risk children in the U.S. There are private donors who cover the administrative expenses necessary to operate Point Hope, enabling us to focus on the programs and aid.
