Who We Serve
“We strive to be a voice for forgotten children”. -Point Hope
What does it mean to be a voice for forgotten children? Who are the forgotten children?
A forgotten child goes to sleep each night without enough of something:
- Food
- Love
- Security
- Attention
- Medical Care
- Warmth
A forgotten child goes to sleep each night without having what they need:
- Mosquito Netting
- A Home
- A Forever Family
- A Bed
- A kiss good-night from someone who loves them
- A prayer said for them
A forgotten child gets up every morning:
- Unsure of where they will go to sleep that night
- Hungry, again
- Thirsty, again
- Unable to afford the expense of school
- Putting on the same clothes, again
- Not knowing who is going to care for them
A forgotten child is living across the world and right outside your front door. They are who we serve.
“The greatest among you must be a servant.” -Jesus (as recorded in Matt 23:11, NLT)
Greatness is to be found in service. Only those men are truly great who are the servants of their race, helpers of mankind. (People’s New Testament, commentary)
